Adopt a Dog
The SPCA Pet Adoption Center is now open for public visits! Please note we have recently updated to a new & improved paperless, appointment-based adoption process for your convenience. You can now automatically place a pet on hold — wherever you are — by using our electronic adoption survey.
Step 1: Submit an adoption survey
Use the Specific Pet survey to put a particular pet on hold for you, or use the General Process survey to get a head start as you look for your match.
Step 2: Schedule your appointment
Learn more about the pet you’re interested in and continue with the adoption process, or sit down and discuss what you’re looking for so we can find you a great match.
Step 3: Finalize your adoption!
Once you’ve met the pet at your appointment and signed the papers, it's official! Your new best friend will be ready to go home with you right away.

Hi, hello, howdy! My name is Nick and when I get excited, I like to jump and wiggle and I might knock you over, but it’s just because I love you so much! As you may have guessed, I’m still working on my training--wanna work on it with me?? Learning is so much more fun with a friend, and we can practice everything I need to learn to be my super best self. Let’s spend some time playing in the yard here before you take me home--I’ll show you what I’ve been working on here and you can reward me with yummy treats when I do a good job. Once we’re home, I know we’ll be best friends in no time! There is just one thing I need in return for all the slobbery kisses I will shower you with--I need lots of cuddles and extra love when there is a thunderstorm! Maybe we can grab a thundershirt to help me stay calm from the retail store on the way out of here!
