Create a Legacy of Love

Bequests

By making a bequest to the SPCA of Wake County, a gift in your will or trust, ensures future funding for lifesaving care for pets in need. Add SPCA Wake to your existing will or trust (with language below).

Beneficiary Designations

Designate part or all of your IRA and other retirement or bank accounts, or life insurance policies to SPCA Wake and make a meaningful gift toward helping end animal cruelty.

NC Animal Legacy Society

The NC Animal Legacy Society honors individuals who have made a commitment to helping animals in need now and into the future. Designating SPCA Wake as a beneficiary in your estate plan makes you eligible for membership in the Animal Legacy Society.

Asset Giving

An outright gift is a straightforward and popular way to share your generosity with the animals. Donated shares of stock or a gift directly from your IRA called a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) can have additional tax benefits beyond those of cash gifts.

Peace of Mind Program

As a member of the NC Animal Legacy Society, you can enroll in our Peace of Mind pet guardianship program. In the event of your death, members of the Legacy Society can rely on us to provide transitional care and find a permanent, loving home for your pets.

FreeWill Tool

Add SPCA Wake to your existing will or trust or write a will for free online and create a bequest with our partner, FreeWill. You can also use this online tool to write your legal will, for free. This resource is a result of our partnership with FreeWill and helps you to easily create a charitable bequest in your plans to SPCA Wake.

If you have already included a gift to the SPCA of Wake County in your will or trust, please let us know!
