The Susan and Randall Ward Regional Campus for Pets & People is home to SPCA Wake's Pet Adoption Center and Resource Center, including the Saving Lives Spay/Neuter Clinic. Together, these facilities support every stage of our lifesaving work, from animal intake and medical care to adoption and community support services.

  • SPCA Pet Adoption Center– The SPCA Pet Adoption Center, located at 200 Petfinder Lane in Raleigh, is the facility to visit if you are looking to add a pet to your family through our adoption program.

  • SPCA Resource Center – The new SPCA Resource Center, adjacent to the Pet Adoption Center, serves as the intake facility for animals entering our adoption program and houses many of the organization's lifesaving operations. The Resource Center is not open for general public visitation. Individuals seeking to surrender a pet must have a scheduled appointment with our Intake team.

  • Saving Lives Spay/Neuter Clinic – Located within the SPCA Resource Center, the Saving Lives Spay/Neuter Clinic provides high-quality, affordable spay/neuter surgeries for pets by appointment only. The clinic serves shelter partners, rescue groups, and pet owners throughout the region.


Adoption Center Self-Guided Tours
The SPCA is unable to offer guided group tours of the Adoption Center, but you are welcome to take a self-guided tour. We ask that groups visit on weekdays only, as weekends are our busiest adoption days. Keep in mind that Fridays may also be crowded. Information sheets are available at the front desk for you to read as you take your tour.

DIRECTIONS FROM THE 440 BELTLINE / DOWNTOWN RALEIGH:

  1. From the 440 beltline, take exit 298A and travel south on South Saunders Street, which is also 401 South and Hwy 70 East.
  2. Go approximately 1.5 miles and pass under the Wilmington Street overpass. (Look for Taco Bell on your right.)
  3. Get into the right lane and take a RIGHT at the light onto Tryon Rd.
  4. Go 0.2 miles and at the light, turn LEFT onto Illeagnes Rd.
  5. Go approx. 400 feet and take your very next RIGHT onto The Arts Dr.
  6. Go approx. 600 feet at turn LEFT on Withers Road
  7. Go one-tenth of a mile and turn LEFT onto Petfinder Lane.
  8. Follow the road to the right. It will curve around to the front of the SPCA Pet Adoption Center.

 

FROM CARY via Tryon Rd.

  1. Turn  RIGHT onto Illeagnes Rd.
  2. Go approx. 400 feet and take your very next RIGHT onto The Arts Dr.
  3. Go approx. 600 feet at turn LEFT on Withers Road
  4. Go one-tenth of a mile and turn LEFT onto Petfinder Lane.
  5. Follow the road to the right. It will curve around to the front of the SPCA Pet Adoption Center.

 

FROM Garner or Clayton (on Hwy 70 or 401) towards Raleigh:

  1. Turn LEFT onto Tryon Rd.
  2. Go .2 of a mile and at the light, turn LEFT onto Illeagnes Rd.
  3. Go approx. 400 feet and take your very next RIGHT onto The Arts Dr.
  4. Go approx. 600 feet at turn LEFT on Withers Road
  5. Go one-tenth of a mile and turn LEFT onto Petfinder Lane.
