Due to the recent outbreak of Canine Influenza in Wake County and out of an abundance of caution for pets in our care and community, we are temporarily pausing canine intakes and adoptions.

In addition SPCA Wake has taken the precautionary step to close the dog adoption hall through October 17th. This will help minimize exposure and allow our team to closely monitor all dogs in our care. Cat and small pet adoptions will continue as normal.

PLEASE NOTE: While we are still able to process dog adoption paperwork (online) and place dogs on temporary holds, we are suspending the release of dogs from our care through October 15th. We are also suspending any dog visits (or meet and greets) at this time.
