In five separate 60-minute lessons, the common core aligned No More Bullying! curriculum reinforces fundamental character principles including respect, responsibility, integrity, compassion, and kindness. During the lessons, students have opportunities to share their own experiences, to journal their feelings, and to think critically about the topics discussed.
Researchers have been studying the connection between various forms of violence for many years. We know that bullying, domestic violence, and animal cruelty are linked in a deadly cycle. The No More Bullying! program teaches students to recognize bullying when they see it and to take safe and effective actions to stop it. The knowledge and skills gained empower children to create a safer and more respectful environment and to model the behaviors that may prevent bullying in the first place.
Participating children will have the opportunity to practice the values and concepts and ask questions to the instructor during the online classes. The SPCA is dedicated to creating a humane community for animals and people alike. The No More Bullying! program creates a lasting change by engaging youth and young adults with these lessons of responsibility, compassion, and integrity.
SPCA Wake is dedicated to creating a more humane community for animals and people alike. The No More Bullying! program gives us the opportunity to share the message of compassion directly with youngsters as their values and belief systems are developing. We know that kindness leads to more kindness, and we believe more kindness is the key to breaking the cycle of violence and abuse.
