Adopt A Cat
The SPCA Pet Adoption Center is open to visitors every day from 11am-6pm! Please note we now use a paperless, appointment-based adoption process for your convenience. You can now automatically place a pet on hold — wherever you are — by using our online adoption survey.
Step 1: Submit an adoption survey
Use the Specific Pet survey to put a particular pet on hold for you, or use the General Process survey to get a head start as you look for your match.
Step 2: Schedule your appointment
Learn more about the pet you’re interested in and continue with the adoption process, or sit down and discuss what you’re looking for so we can find you a great match.
Step 3: Finalize your adoption!
Once you’ve met the pet at your appointment and signed the papers, it's official! Your new best friend will be ready to go home with you right away.
Purr Cup Cafe
Did you know SPCA Wake partners with Purr Cup Cafe in South Raleigh? At this new cat cafe you can visit adoptable cats and even complete the adoption process over a cup of Joe. Get your caffeine and cat fix all in one stop!
Featured Pet: SHELBY
Meet Shelby, a shy girl with a heart full of love just waiting to shine! At 2 ½ years old, Shelby has come a long way from her nervous beginnings. While she still prefers to spend her days tucked away in cozy hiding spots, once the sun sets, she transforms into a loving lap cat who adores nose boops, cuddles, and even grooming her favorite people. She’s looking for a patient adopter who will give her the time she needs to feel safe and come out of her shell. If you’re willing to let Shelby set the pace, you’ll be rewarded with one of the most affectionate (and delightfully derpy) companions you could ask for!
