Adopt a Carolina Mini-Panther

In the days leading up to the Big Game between the Denver Broncos and the Carolina Panthers, the SPCA of Wake County hopes to pound down the number of homeless pets waiting to be adopted by waiving the adoption fees for all adult cats three years and older.

Cats and kittens have overtaken area shelters, and the SPCA is trying to relieve the burden by finding homes for as many as possible. There are currently over two dozen mini-panthers waiting for homes at the SPCA's Adoption Center and more waiting to fill those cages once they're empty.

"The faster we can move these mini-panthers in and out of our doors, the more lives we'll save. Just as the Carolina Panther's keep pounding at their game, we hope to keep pounding at our game and reduce the number of homeless cats in our care by finding them loving homes," said Darci VanderSlik, SPCA Spokeswoman.

All adoption fees (including the fee-waived adoptions) cover: spay and neuter surgery, wellness exam, a microchip, deworming, and vaccinations including rabies, (over a $300 value!)

The Adopt a Mini-Panther Promotion will begin Tuesday, February 2nd through Super Bowl Sunday (February 7th).  If the Carolina Panthers WIN we will extend the promotion through the end of February. GO PANTHERS!
