The K9-3K Dog Walk & Woofstock
Thank you to all who joined us Saturday, April 29th for the 18th annual SPCA K9-3K Dog Walk & Woofstock. The day was bright and sunny with rain nowhere in sight. It warmed up quickly, but the heat didn’t keep animal lovers or their dogs from coming out to support the cause they believe in. Thanks to the community’s fundraising efforts, the event raised $222,000 for homeless pets. Here are some photo and video highlights of the day.
Thank you, Imaginovation, for this wonderful video!
SPCA Board Member and MetLife Dog Walk Team Captain Eric Latalladi thanks the community for everyone’s hard work.
We kicked off the walk with NC’s largest selfie.
Ms. Wuf joined the fun in some souvenir photos!
To beat the heat, water bottles were available for the humans and pools were set up for the canines.
Buddy, the SPCA’s 2017 Dog Ambassador, knows he’s lucky to have a loving family.
He walked to show his support for homeless pets.
At the end, walkers could leave their signature, hand print, or paw print on a special 50th-anniversary banner, which is now hanging at the SPCA Pet Adoption Center.
The dogs with a need for speed entered the Ruff Races to see how fast they could run.
We hope you’ll join us again next year!
