Even though we must keep our distance these days, it's more important than ever to show one another we're not alone. SPCA Wake has been helping the community in any way we can. The world needs a little more good news these days, so we thought we'd share what we've been up to.

Keeping Seniors Safe At Home

SPCA supporters allow essential SPCA Wake programs to continue when it seems everything else is changing. AniMeals recipients receive regular deliveries of pet food and supplies, but when SPCA Wake received word of an impending stay-at-home order, staff made urgent calls to recipients to see what supplies they needed. Staff and volunteers made last-minute deliveries to be sure these seniors can stay where they need to be: at home with their pets.

Making new partnerships to feed the whole family

During this crisis, we believe no one should have to choose between feeding their pets, paying utilities, or buying medications. SPCA Wake has joined forces with Meals on Wheels of Wake County, NC to make sure the whole family is fed!

Early this week, SPCA staff members delivered pet food to Meals on Wheels that will help pet-owning recipients in our community!
