A Brighter Future for Marvel (graphic imagery)

Friday, September 21, 2018 - Marvel arrived today at the SPCA of Wake County. He was found as a stray in Wilson County with open wounds on his neck and shoulders that could be hot oil burns.

There's a lot we don't know about Marvel's past. We don't know if he's ever had a home. We don't know how long he's been on his own. And we don't know if what happened to him was the result of a terrible accident or a very cruel human.

What we do know is that things are only going to get better from here. Marvel has already been taken to our veterinary partner, Care First Animal Hospital, to have his wounds cleaned and treated. He is still happy to see people and wags his tail at anyone who stops to say hello.

If Marvel could talk, we think he'd say he's thankful for everyone who helped him get to the SPCA and for the donors who make it possible for him to receive the love and care he deserves. If you'd like to make a gift to help pets like Marvel, click here.

Despite what happened to him, Marvel had nothing but a wagging tail for anyone who stopped by.
