2022 Volunteer Application

Thank you for your interest in volunteering at the SPCA of Wake!

You are about to embark on this journey, filling out the application below is the first step in becoming an SPCA Volunteer!! Please follow the instructions below! We are so excited that you have chosen the SPCA to donate your time and be part of our family and community!

Volunteer Requirements:

Volunteers must be at least 18 years old.
Must commit to volunteering at least one shift per month (25 hours per year for community service*)
Must have consistent access to the internet and email.
Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions.
Must be able to work well with others and independently (without supervision).
Must complete the New Volunteer Orientation videos and sign a waiver before volunteering.
We are not accepting Youth-Adult Teams at this time.

*We are not currently able to accommodate:

Court-ordered or lawyer-recommended community service
Group volunteering
Short-term volunteer opportunities

BECOME A VOLUNTEER AT THE SPCA

In order to become a member of the SPCA volunteer team and family, you will need to COMPLETE and SUBMIT the APPLICATION BELOW.

Note: Returning Volunteers must complete the updated Volunteer Application to begin volunteering again.
(Incomplete applications with missing steps are not able to be processed.)

Once we receive your Volunteer Application, you will receive a "Getting Started" email that will give you access to the New Volunteer Orientation!!
Once you have completed the New Volunteer Orientation and submitted the DocuSign Waiver, please allow 7-10 days (from the time you have submitted the waiver) for us to completely process your volunteer registration.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

If you do not receive your confirmation email, please check your junk folder. If it's not in your junk folder, please be sure you have successfully completed application.
If you receive an error message on the application, that means that information is missing and you must complete the application in its entirety to become a volunteer.

Volunteer Application

Please fill out the Volunteer Application by clicking the button below. Make sure that you scroll through the entire application, the volunteer team assignments need to be selected in order to submit your application AND to code your account!

A confirmation email letting you know that you submitted your application.
You will receive the "Getting Started" email after completing the application below. The email will contain more information about the program, a link to the New Volunteer Orientation and is your confirmation that your application was submitted successfully.
Once you have completed the New Volunteer Orientation: Please allow 7-10 days to process your application, surveys associated with the videos and DocuSign Waiver (from the time that you submit your waiver).
After these documents are processed, you will receive another email from Volgistics with login information!
Then, you will be able to view Volgistics and then start scheduling shifts or Shadow Training Sessions once you have completed the Assignment Course you are interested in!
